Introduction
The color variations of this fish include the Sunset, Neon, and Coral Blue Dwarf Gourami. A good fish for the beginner or intermediate aquarist, this species in all its' many splendors will add new color and variety to any tank. Great for planted community tanks.
Tank Setup
Keep many fine leaved and floating plants in the tank. Regular water changes are recommended.
Feeding Tips
These fish are termed carnivores, however they will take flake food readily. Additions to their diet of frozen or live foods such as, bloodworms, brine shrimp, beef heart, or mosquito larvae are recommended.
Sexual Identification & Breeding
Males are brightly coloured, while females are grey. These fish are bubble nest builders, and will take care of their young to an extreme occasionally. Meaning they can become very aggresive with other fish, similar to bettas, when rearing their fry.
These fish are considered hard to breed.
